The problem
Scale was the problem. Across several ABC teams, the same symptoms kept appearing: heavy manual work, duplicated steps, data scattered across Excels and inboxes, and critical processes that depended on informal coordination. Leadership suspected there were hours to reclaim, errors to eliminate, and friction to remove — but without a clear view of what to automate first.
The risk with this kind of engagement is that it turns into a year-long project. ABC wanted the opposite: fast impact, zero drama.
What we did
A technical and process audit designed to produce a “radiography” of the operation in weeks, not quarters:
- Interviews with each team
- End-to-end process mapping
- Bottleneck detection
From there we identified and prioritised the low-hanging fruit — automations with high ROI and low implementation cost — and delivered an actionable plan with expected impact and an estimate of effort and cost per initiative.
Outcome
The deliverable is a low-cost project with high strategic value: leadership moves from intuition to clear decisions, with a roadmap ready to execute. We can then implement the prioritised automations ourselves, turning operational scale into a real advantage instead of a cost centre.
